In the project and competition "Digiscouts 2018" of the RKW Competence Center our trainees took second place.

The idea of "Digiscouts" is to put on the hat of apprentices in the field of digitisation in companies. For six months, the "digital natives", who regard digitization as a matter of course in their everyday lives, will be dealing with potentials in the company. They have all the freedom to criticise the current situation and make suggestions for improvement from their point of view.

After a general company check, our trainees Sarah Libich and Dominik Jehle discovered that most of our processes run on a digital level. According to the motto "From apprentices for apprentices", they decided to embed an apprentice area in our intranet for themselves and all future apprentices. For a quick orientation, to the point, with a fresh design, all important information about the training should be stored here. An apprentice chat is intended to ensure optimum interaction between the trainees.

At the closing event on 15 December at ECONVENT in Esslingen, all eight teams, including trainees from the Jesinger car dealership and the Eberspächer Group, presented their project results. Impressed by the ideas and the confident approach of the trainees, the audience finally chose the winners. The key question was which project would inspire the most to be implemented in the company.
