The film with our partner company NavVis shows how we use our latest technologies. For the Fraunhofer Institute we have in the project FutureWork360 our Indoor Mapping Trolley and our mobile scanning device VLX.
With the help of a digital twin created by Hemminger, the FutureWork360 project improves the coordination of research projects in the fields of manufacturing, engineering and automation. This enables better communication between researchers, independent of time and place. At the same time, innovations are made known to a wider audience and international networking and cooperation are promoted.
Our Managing Director Christoph Wintrup and our Innovation Manager Marcel Döring guide us through the film with insights into the added value of the technologies. "With the technologies, we can record very precise data very quickly," says Christoph Wintrup, explaining the biggest advantage of using the technologies. Marcel Döring, who plays a key role in overseeing innovations, elaborates, "We can do several thousand square meters a day with the VLX." The range of technologies Hemminger has in place makes it possible to meet a wide variety of project goals. According to Marcel Döring, it makes sense to use the trolley and the VLX in a complementary way, depending on the prevailing conditions.
In the field of artificial intelligence, Hemminger Ingenieurbüro is researching the automatic placement of POIs (Points of Interest) in the NavVis Indoor Viewer. Objects in the digitized building are automatically recognized and placed as POIs.
"The software adds specific metadata to POIs," explains Marcel Döring, "such as links to a website or a link to a store."
"We don't just use the generated data for 3D modeling," explains Christoph Wintrup on the subject of future business areas. The areas of marketing, visualization and training would increasingly come to the fore.
